washi tape car track.

oh, thank you dear Pinterest for the unlimited ideas for the kids rooms! i saw this "washi tape car track" on Pinterest. awesome original can be found here. (which is way cooler & better & everything, but I'm not completely finished yet, and Ruben couldn't wait, so be it).

now i need to get my hands on lots and lots more washi tape, because the dudette is demanding a washi tape "monster high house"...sweet.

on the agenda today: workday, but working with a new employee and i cannot wait to shuffle my shit towards her desk to get her properly settled so she can take over some workload from me. the afternoon is kids time & one of my sweetest besties is coming over for coffee. there will be chocolate involved. that is a win-win.

since i'm busy with animals these days, let's throw in some more pics. Ruben is finally getting more interested in his own bunny Kuffie. uber cuteness i say.

 

hehe. that REALLY is a bunny. believe me. i've seen real poop.

this is not what you think... seriously. this is Snuffie (girl) getting a 'ride' from Kuffie (boy with no more balls left). that's what usually happens when they get to play outside. Snuffie get's all excited and jumps on Kuffie's every move. he really runs & tries to hide for her. when he's behind something where she can't get to him, she starts to walk up and down waiting for him. as soon as he shows his face, she makes a move. seriously. they crack me up. and YES i'm sure it's the girl on the boy. he has not more balls left, so if SHE was a boy afterall, they can't make any tiny bunnies. never ever. thank goodness.

special guests.

last week wednesday afternoon we had 2 very special guests to look after. Spike & Mini from Marije. Sanne wants a little dog. desperately. mommy sais 2 bunnies is more then i can handle anyway. and we have our own pig called Ruben. i say full house.

so we made a deal. she got to look after the 2 cute dogs from Marije.

so we picked them up at the office (they were in the office in the morning. just sitting in a bag. hilarious). they walked them. it was so cute. (no, i'm still NOT getting a dog.. sorry peeps. no time).

one is 9. the other is 11. unbelievable!

look at that proud little face of my cutie. Ruben was kinda done (they had to "pee everywhere mom!") hehe. Sanne didn't mind at all walking them both!

how cute! mini was shaking, a bit cold i guess. and sanne took of her coat and gave it to the smalle cute Mini. who immediately looked like "hehe, i thought you never gave it to me!".

so Sanne's NEED for a dog is filled for just a few more weeks, before the wining starts again. but she also knew walking them was kinda tiring and she wanted to play outside, but she also had to 'watch' the dogs. let's hope i can bribe her a little longer with that. hehe. 

life is good. still not buying any dogs.

she and her bunny.

i promise. no bunnies were harmed in taking this picture. she and her ideas. she found these glasses outside our garden. after asking about all the neighbours if the belong to them, she came home. she wanted to take a picture with Snuffie. okay. the glasses are outside our garden again, with a little note from Sanne "who's glasses are these?". good girl.

he's her lobster.

since we got ourselves 2 little furry cute "teddy widder" bunnies, sanne became the Mother Teresa of Bunnies. she feels like Ruben is not giving enough attention to his "Kuffie". and she's more then happy to fulfill that role of giving love. and she gives love. like nobody's business.

it's just too cute to see how they relax on her lap. how she cuddles them. how she holds them as her baby, and wants me to take a gazillion pictures. and i am more then happy to obey :)

one very comfortable way...

yesterday was extremely hot in the Netherlands. today starts even more hot, but we will be punished for that with thunder & storm any moment. can't wait actually. hot is not my thing. at least, for the weather that is. ha. Sanne is home with a bad cold and sore throat. tomorrow we were supposed to celebrate her birthday party with her friends. movie tickets are bought. let's keep everything you have crossed and hope she get's well in just 1 day...

fathersday

the best part about fathers- and mothersday is the handmade stuff from the kids. and especially when there's an interview from teacher-kid involved. which reminds me i need to take those little interviews way more often! the answers are hilarious!

Sanne made 2 fun coasters for daddy's beer. he doesn't drink beer, but i like her thought.

Ruben had a flat package whith this lovely drawing on top! i guess his first real 'human' drawn, with hair and hands! he tried to memories the lyrics of this rhym, and with daddy helping he knew a lot of the words!

and this little interview his teacher had with him, made me laugh so hard! it's in Dutch:

my daddys name: arjan (true :)
his age: 30 (well... huge compliment there dude, he's 40 already!)
daddy is really good at: kiting and cleaning windows (hmmm haven't caught him doing that!)
he doesn't like this food: broccoli (well, he loves it, we all love broccoli)
he loves this food: potatoes and meet (true)
daddy loves to watch on tv: car race (so true!)
you know what he does secretly?: smashing the window and steal cookies and candy's (well, also haven't caught him doing that, but i'll pay attention now!)
his eyes are: grey with blue (true!)
on his job, daddy goes: working with computers (which is funny, cause on the office i'm the one on the computer usually and daddy is managing printers, machines and inserters which Ruben loves!)
his favorite color is: white with grey (sure...)
he goes to his work by: airplane (dude, he had to make it more exciting i guess. by car is boring right?)
daddy helps me at home with: make a home for our bunnies (true!!)
i love to do with daddy: fly to his job with an airplane (the imagination is king :)

so. i'm planning to repeat this again with both kids. such a cool inspiration for scrapbooking!

i got him this fabulous wallet, the same as Jules in Pulp Fiction. Even the whole passage from the prophet Ezekiel is in there, in case someone is bothering you.

it's a new kind of love...

never knew i would be so crazy in love with 2 cute little animals. very proud of Sanne also for taking this fab-u-lous shot! i was just holding "Snuffie" after combing her (daily routine, which i really love doing! she comes and sit on my lap, really cuddles and truly enjoys me combing her thick fur, her big brother "Kuffie" also totally relaxes when i comb him, so i guess i'm doing something right!)

life is good. gotta love furry 'people'!

ps: on the scrapbooking part: i've created 4 layouts with the gorgeous Lawn Party kit from Studio Calico, but i'm not able to show them here. they are going to be published in a French Magazine. tee hee.

fluffy heaven

friday we finally bought 2 of the cutest little bunnies i've ever seen. the breed is " Teddy Widder" and they sure look like alive stuffed animals! they are already very very tame. they come to you, want to sit with you and love it when you pet them. so. the perfect little buggers for our muppets :)

this is "snuffie" (i know in English this may sound a bit weird, but believe me it's more like "little sniffer"). it's a girl and she's very very relaxed and calm. exactly like Sanne. she immediately crawled onto Sanne's lap and laid her paws like this. i say hilarious.

and meet "Kuffie". that's actually something Ruben made up. and it makes me laugh. Ruben was a bit hesitate with Kuffie. Ruben was also very very tired after a long hour drive (1,5 to get there, and 1,5 hour to get back). we simply are not used to drive that long, so he was pooped... but Kuffie is very very nosy and already jumping around happily in his "cage". he's exploring everything. so his personality is exactly like Ruben. the fun!

 

so they sit here most of the day. petting, loving and talking to their 'babies'.

they both love to sit like this. for. like. evah!

and they are more the exploring kind. so fun to watch Ruben interact with his pal!

but this little lady seriously is too cute to be true. she really comes to Sanne and than crawl into her lap. i so hope they'll have this longlasting friendship!

and me? you simply have to forgive me for taking a gazillion pictures and posting them! i feel in love. with my 2 muppets & my 2 new furry friends.
